Abbi-Girl's Frogs...

Tonight we all went for a walk around the neighborhood.
Not too far down the road there is a playground. Almost all the time we were there, Abbi was watching for frogs, because last time we had went, she had found one, and had been very excited about it. (It was really a toad.) As we were starting to leave, Abbi says: "I found one! I found one!"
She picked it and put it in a shell she had found, using her hand as a 'lid'. She was told that she could take it to the house, but that she couldn't take it inside.
Before we were even half-way home, she found yet a another frog, picked it up and added it to her 'collection'. (She also found two more, but could not fit them in her shell.). She said "My talent is being a Frog-Catcher Girl!"
When we got home she was trying to persuade us to let her keep it in the house. She said "I could ask Mommy to go out every minute, and give it bugs, and then we could keep it outside!" She was told to put it in the yard by the creek.
She went to put them there, but when she got back, she asked again if she could have them. Daddy again told that we have no 'froggie food', and she said; "Well, we could just call the Gramma that has fishes, and ask her to send us some froggie food!"
She really, really, really, wants a frog.
Emmi, however, wants...
A Gopher.

This 'n that...

Hi!

First, I would like to say, this will be a long post! It began on the 26th of February, and it ended on the 2nd of March!

Sooooo... Let's get started...

Yes! Our house is on the...

Ground, of course! Did you think it was in space?

Oh, that!

Yes, the pictures and such are on the...
computermarket, as of the 18th!

Thank you, Jesus!

Things we have done this week...

  1. Went to church, and went clothes shopping.

  2. Kept the house clean.

  3. I have practiced "Canon..." Thank, Katie, for the lesson! (She is our friend from church... she agreed to give me piano lessons.)

  4. Loved on babies!

  5. Had some people look at our house! Yes, on the very first week!

Have you ever seen sand in a microscope? I have! I had seen some pictures, and they were beautiful! I went to look at some sand in my microscope. Though you can't see what color they are in mine, they are each different and beautiful! It just goes to show how amazing our God is! Also, some people think that the sand we walk on is 'millions of years old'. If it was, how is it there? Would it, or would it not have eroded? That just goes to show that the world is not 'millions of years', just, like, six thousand! Our God is great!

If you have sent a friend request, I'm not ignoring you, just I click on the notifications and it disappears, so I don't know what's going on, just I wanted you to know, I'm not ignoring you on purpose!
!!!!
And, remember that post titled '!!!!!!!!!!!!!'?... It goes to the wrong thing... the first little girl with down syndrome shown now has a family! She's four, and her name is now Anna. She kinda looks like Abbi! I went to that post and clicked on the link and thought "That makes no sense! It's the wrong thing!" Ha-Ha! I have it fixed now... sorry I left you in the dark ;). http://theblessingofverity.com/2012/07/newsflash/ This what it's supposed to go to, :).
Peter has been doing really well... at cruising! He is ten months old and he is showing no signs of walking... I hope he'll walk before he's a year, though! Mom said that he may be getting a hair cut on the weekend. Sniff. . He has sooooo much hair! It's just too funny!

Andrew wants to say that he likes to fly toy planes a lot, and he likes to play with cars. He wants to thank anyone who reads me blog for reading it.

Abbi says "I like to play kites, go outside, and ride in a cars, and to play cars. Sometime, I'll ride on a little toy car!"

Emmi likes to watch 'Animal crackers in my soup!" The other day, she asked when she would get "Turls wike Shurwey Temples''. Well, if she would grow hair (!), we may curl it... once .

Pictures... I hope you enjoy...

But then, how could you not enjoy them?!

She's so flexible!

He's climbing the stairs... and he really did it!

All ready nine months?!

Goose-y girl :).

Emmi and her... friend?, the crayon box... (it's stuck!)

Andrew was excited to cut his own hair!

Bethi, Emmi... and a poor lil'  lamb...

Emmi...

Peter loves leaves!

.

Hee-Hee!

Aww...

Geocaching with Grandpa!

Emmi's 'sea' :).

Swings!

Well, Andrew saved the fair lady, but she wasn't too terribly in a hurry to get off... :)

Yum! Homemade donuts! Thank you Bethi and Aunt Tessa!

And  next up... claymation!

Well, that's all, so, God bless!

Update on "Claymation"...

I promise that I am working on the "Claymation' video... but it's taken a while, I was working on it before I put the last post up! Bri has been helping me... we had it done... and then...

We went back to watch it and...

THERE WERE NO PICTURES!!!

Needless to say... it is not done yet...

Sample: First (un-posted) post from "The Shaffer Family Bulletin"...

"Well, what do you want us to say? Goodbye. The end, farewell, for we have nothing to bulletin.

Blog closed.

Just joking..."

Bri and I set up the blog... And played around as we tried to think of what to say...

The 4th!!!

We had a great 4th!!! We did fireworks yesterday, and we loved them, but Bri's flash on her camera was torturing every one it was so bright!!!Not really I think it was that and the fireworks, ;). She got some beautiful pictures!

Happy 4th of July!

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee,
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea.

O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare of freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!

O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for halcyon skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the enameled plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till souls wax fair as earth and air
And music-hearted sea!

O beautiful for pilgrims feet,
Whose stem impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till paths be wrought through
wilds of thought
By pilgrim foot and knee!

O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife
When once and twice,
for man's avail
Men lavished precious life!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till nobler men keep once again
Thy whiter jubilee!

What Andrew found on the back porch...

Cats!!!  They came on the seventh. At first there were two kittens and than one more came. The mom was so skinny! After Daddy came home from work, he fed her some meat and raw egg. We've seen her some more since then, and she found a TON of raw meat in the trash can, and ate it :P.

Bye!

Ooze-Brick

(Yes I'm fine, and back!)
I will now commence to start to write, for your benefit, a quick way to have fun on a rainy day, even though you may think it more fun to play in the rain then do any thing else, which I don't.

                                                              Ooze-Brick

1/2 cup corn/tapioca starch

1/4 cup water

Mix WELL, or the starch will just be sitting there, and it won't work.

Ooze-Brick lasts for about one week. (When purple throw away! :)!)

I named it 'Ooze-Brick' because it oozes through your fingers when it is in it's liquid form, but then it becomes a solid when you squeeze it. Its original name was oobleck.

God bless!!!

O.k. long post... to make up for not posting for a while :).

And long title :).

Well, we have no news of the baby yet, but, when we do, don't be surprised that I don't post for a month, or more :).

Well, here are all the posts I have started...  just haven't posted yet!!!

12/27/12
Today we went to clean the Church. And Andrew got 'lost' (hid!). He does that a lot, but Mommy didn't know, so, PANIC!!! Hee-hee... He likes to,  I guess, scare people, naughty Andrew :).

Then we go to the store. We do a little shopping, then we have a banana and a treat, 'string' cheese, and go home.

Now the little ones are at quiet time, and Bri and I, who have not really had quiet time for a long time, are having 'Big Girl' quiet time ( read: doing whatever, just we have to be quiet :).)

12/18/12
Abbi said to Bri one day: "Your just my best friend!"

Then one day, she was in trouble, and Bri said: " You need to tell Andrew your sorry."

The response:'' You are my best friend, you can’t do this to me.''

12/11/11
I think I will have to give up the Saturday thing-y I am supposed to do, because it's not working. We were at our Grandparent's house, we had a sleepover (and fun :)!).

1/10/12
Happy New Years, and I will be posting more in the future (maybe ;)!)!!! :) :) :)

Well, hi,  I hope you had a blessed year in LORD!!!

Bethi has been... reading out loud!... and... cracking Bri and I UP!!! She says  blurted: blooded,  aroma: army, Ethan: Athin, Matron, Martin  ...Bri, Bethi and I had a sewing party, in which we sewed pillow cases, which Mrs. Brenda (or, Brand A, 3~ year~ Bethi language, her prayer would be: ''Please help Mrs. Branda'' ... to which Mommy said that  Mrs. Brenda was 'Brand A' Ha-ha!!!) gave us, while we each read a chapter in 'Looking For Home" by Arleta Richardson.' She's so cute! It's not that she couldn't read the words, she just couldn't say them, :)

1/30/12
I got two teeth extracted! One broke, and when the dentist was taking it out, the one beside it came out!

BEAUTIFUL!!!

I got up at sun rise the other day, got ready for the day, and found out that the sun still had a ways to go to be all the way up!!!
